!NEWS! Michael Wakeling is the new WMC European champion

The Xplosion Show at the Indigo2 at The O2 on Saturday night was the best fight card London had seen for a while, with fighters having flown in from both Thailand and Holland to take on some of Britain’s best Muay Thai fighters.

Amongst these fighters was Egon Racz of the world-famous Mike’s Gym in Holland, who came to challenge Scorpions Gym’s very own Michael Wakeling for the prestigious WMC European championship at 72.5kg.

Bringing with him plenty of experience having fought big names in the sport such as Khem Sitsongpeenong, Yohan Lidon and Orono Vor Petchpon, Egon may have been one of Michael’s toughest opponents to date. Despite this, Michael’s skill, speed and own experience appeared unmatched in the fight and saw him take the unanimous decision win and consequently the WMC European title. Yet another win for the Scorpions camp!
